Buildings

Minnesota's Faribault County is rich in history.  It claims a center spot on the southernmost rung of Minnesota counties.  The Faribault County Historical Society (FCHS) invites you to see for yourself bits of history preserved in settings reminiscent of the mid-to-late 1800's and throughout the 1900's.  Enjoy the nostalgia of days gone by and learn to appreciate the determination, the creativity and the bravery with which our ancestors lived their lives.  FCHS has accumulated a total of ten buildings that are constantly maintained and enjoyed by the public.  Each one is complete with items appropriate to the building that have been donated over the years.  Come along with us as we step into long ago yesterdays.
